"The immensely talented junior blossom into one of the Southern Section’s best athletes this spring. He won titles at the Trophy Invitational and in front of the home fans at the Trabuco Hills Invitational. Hurd turned in top three finishes at the Arcadia Invitational and the Orange County Championships before winning the South Coast League title. Hurd ran to a wind-legal, lifetime best of 14.53 at the CIF-SS Division 1 preliminaries, which was the county’s fastest wind-legal time of the season. He finished sixth in Division 1 at the CIF-SS Divisional Finals with a lifetime best 14.41 under all conditions, the fastest time among all county athletes that advanced to the finals in all four divisions."

"McCord and Pounds were joined on the county’s high jump scene by highly touted Trabuco Hills freshman Sean Lee, who immediately flashed explosive talent well beyond his years. His clearance of 6-9 at the Mt. Carmel Invitational was a county freshman record and the second best clearance in state history by a first year jumper. Lee battled a left leg injury midway into the season that hampered him down the stretch, but he still managed to win the South Coast League title. He tied Pounds for the top clearance in Division 1 at the CIF-SS Divisional Finals (winning based on jumps) and at the CIF-SS Masters Meet. Lee’s noteworthy debut season ended by tying McCord and Pounds with a clearance of 6-9 in the finals of the CIF State Championships and finishing tied for second based on jumps."
Congratulations Sean!
